Notre Dame Urban Education Center (NDUEC) at 14 East 8th St., Covington, KY, 859-261-4487, www.nduec.org.  NDUED offers transformative educational programs to children and families in the urban area, providing support, restoring hope, and promoting a fully human life for all.  Their belief is that education is the greatest hope for breaking the cycle of poverty.  We collect Capri drink pouches, and packaged snack food items at our Third Tuesday Regional Prayer Group.  They need volunteers for instructional tutoring, physical education, fine arts enrichment, language and reading skills, arts and crafts, computer skills, and administrative assistance.

Rose Garden Home Mission, Center for Hope and Healing, 2040 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY, 859-491-7673, www.fdofmary.org. The Franciscan Daughters of Mary and Mother Seraphina run this mission to help support 1600 babies and to provide food to 300-1100 needy people daily. We collect diapers (larger sizes), toddler clothing 2T-5T new or like new, infant friendly toys, baby and adult toiletries, candy for kids, Bibles and religious jewelry, cleaning supplies, and non-perishable food at our Third Tuesday Regional Prayer Group. Volunteers are needed Monday-Thursday, 11 am – 4 pm.  They are also now a registered charity with Kroger’s Community Rewards program.  If you shop at Kroger’s and use the Kroger Plus Card, simply go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com, click on Cincinnati, OH, enter NPO #82777 and designate Rose Garden Home Mission to receive rewards every time you shop at Kroger and use your Plus Card. It costs you nothing and the Rose Garden will receive a check every quarter to help with their outreach to the poor.

Mary Rose Mission Kitchen, 272 Main St., Florence, KY, www.maryrosemission.org.  Volunteers are needed to cook, clean, serve, and pray.
